Staying there

Hot water and heating

The boiler

The hot water and heating system in the apartment is controlled by a boiler located on the kitchen balcony. You’ll find a control unit with two main buttons — one to turn the hot water on or off, and the other to control the heating. Please keep the temperatures as on the picture and use the valves on the radiators as described below. If the control unit seems stuck, simply unplug the boiler, wait a bit and plug it back.

Radiators

The heat in the apartment is managed through valves on the radiators in each room and in both bathrooms. You can adjust the heating by opening or closing the valves to suit your comfort. Except when it’s hot outside, we recommend keeping the towel radiators in the bathrooms on most of the time, as it helps keep the space warm and dry.

Bathroom radiators

However, you can adjust the other radiators based on the season and your personal preference to maintain a balanced and comfortable temperature throughout the apartment.

Room radiators

You may see a couple of small thermometers here and there in the apartment - at the moment they’re simply collecting the temperature and humidity data for the home assistant server, as we consider automating the climate in the apartment in the future.

Air conditioning

When you first arrive in the apartment and it seems very cold, or in case of an emergency or if you quickly need some extra warmth, the air conditioning units can also be used to heat the air. That said, we kindly ask that you avoid using them for heating during normal use to conserve energy.

When leaving

Please remember to turn off all heating when checking out to help conserve energy and ensure the apartment is ready for the next guests.
